A note from our Farm Director, Jack Algiere:
We are here on the farm because of your dedicated and enduring support. For two decades we have committed ourselves to the health of this land, the organic soil, the farmers, the chefs and the delicious food that nourishes all of us. This community knows that the food we eat is intimately connected to the health of the land and the people who grow and prepare it.
Today, we face great uncertainty and dramatic changes in our daily lives. As we all look towards creative solutions and new ways to find comfort and joy in this difficult moment, it all comes down to the kitchen table.
That’s why we’ve partnered with Blue Hill to launch resourcED, a program to support the independent local food movement during the pandemic crisis and beyond.
Through resourcED, we are offering a series of food and farm boxes. The boxes feature vegetables, whole grains and fresh bread, local meats, fish, flowers and pastured eggs and are available for purchase daily. More information is available here.
Proceeds from the boxes support Blue Hill staff and regional farmers, and enable us to provide meals to local healthcare providers who are heroically confronting this crisis every day, as well as to communities in need.
While we can’t be together on campus, we are still sharing the sights and sounds of the farm—from our newborn lambs and the shearing of our sheep to the flush of colors across our fields as the first asparagus, radishes, carrots, spinach begin to emerge. Follow us on Instagram to stay up to date.
Wishing you good health,
