Gabrielle Hawkins is the Agroecology Coordinator at Stone Barns Center. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she has been passionate about sustainability from an early age. That passion was nurtured by her upbringing, working in restaurants and in the film industry. She created a website called Crown Heights Queen, a mindful lifestyle blog/website focused on conscious consumerism that also highlights numerous brands. She has worked various positions at restaurants in New York City increasing her knowledge of hospitality and food. She holds a B.A. in Film Production from Brooklyn College and a Certificate of Completion in Film Producing from The Met Film School in London. She freelanced on film projects in different roles, assisting and managing projects ranging from documentaries to narrative films. Her restaurant and film experience has allowed her to meet people from all walks of life, reinforcing her beliefs that everyone and everything has a story. She is thrilled to contribute her passion for hospitality, sustainability, and storytelling at Stone Barns Center.
