Heather Campbell is the Member Services and Events Manager at Stone Barns Center. In this role she is responsible for providing consistent, high-quality hospitality and events while representing Stone Barns Center’s mission to a diverse audience. Heather joins us after nearly a decade of working in agriculture, fine dining, and event management. Most recently Heather worked as a landscape designer and events manager for a number of private clients, most notably the Straus Home Ranch in Marshall, CA, the first 100% certified organic creamery in the United States.
Originally from California, Heather received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis on the Environment from the University of California, Los Angeles. She began her career as the Community Manager at the Edible Schoolyard Project, an organization founded by renowned chef Alice Waters in Berkeley, CA. Heather helped to scale the Edible Schoolyard Network across the United States and curate an open-source resource library for educators and advocates. She went on to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Farming at the University of Vermont Farmer Training Program. From there she was accepted into the Rome Sustainable Food Project at the prestigious American Academy in Rome, Italy, where she trained under the direction of a culinary team in classic Italian foodways and supported the revitalization of the on-site organic kitchen garden program.
On the side Heather enjoys crafting botanical beverages with friends, honing her woodworking skills on the lathe, and saying hi to every dog on the hiking trail.
