Jeffrey Hunt

Jeff Hunt is a livestock farmer at Stone Barns Center. He grew up in north Jersey and is glad to return to the east coast to further his connection with the land. His involvement in agriculture stems from his desire to be involved with the entire experience of creating nourishing food. Jeff finds joy working with the animals he raises, as they learn with and for each other.

Since graduating from St. Joseph’s University, Jeff pursued farm work because it is a balanced work of the heart and mind. Before coming to Stone Barns, Jeff lived on a family farm in Junction City, Oregon, where he first developed a love for spending time with animals, crafts, and cob. Jeff is thrilled to continue building a community within a resilient food system and exploring how we can best use our hands for good.

On the side: Jeff likes playing disc golf, cooking with fire, running, reading, and listening to live music.
