Our autumn programming centers the season’s harvest and the ecosystem’s preparation for the winter months. Join our farm team, ecologists, artisans, and more to engage with the work happening across the Stone Barns Center campus. Our classes with Blue Hill chefs, bakers, and beverage directors open up the world of research and development that goes into our vision for the future of food. Join us and learn firsthand through a variety of activities and lectures:
- Tours and tastings in our Innovation Labs, greenhouse, and growing spaces led by Stone Barns farmers and Blue Hill cooks
- In-person cooking classes and botanical beverage courses
- Family field trips that inspire children to explore the abundance in our fields and woodlands
- Eco Hikes harnessing our landscape as the ultimate teaching tool
- Farm and garden classes on a wide range of agricultural and ecological subjects
- Artisan workshops that connect participants to natural materials from our farm and ecosystem, with a hands-on exploration of artisan craft
All experiences except breakfast and parking require reservations.
Stone Barns Center Parking PassParking passes are not required during the winter months. Visit the farm during our open hours 10am–5pm, and explore at your leisure. View our Map Your Visit page to download maps and self-guided tours. Members may always park one vehicle on campus for free.
Cafeteria: Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Our farm-centered Cafeteria is open to the public for coffee and light breakfast (fresh breads, yogurt, granola, local fruits) beginning at 10am.
A casual tray lunch of small plates from Blue Hill that highlight our ongoing work with whole grains, preservation, and butchery are available by advance reservation only.
Join us for Community Table, family-style Blue Hill suppers. Vegetarian meal options are available; please indicate your preference when booking.
The Innovation Labs and The Farm Tour
Discover the connection between healthy soil and delicious food through the Stone Barns Center Innovation Labs dedicated to milling, baking, butchery, preservation, arts & ecology and more. These tours are led by a Stone Barns farmer and Blue Hill cook and feature some small bites. Tours take place Thursdays through Sundays.
Farm & Garden Workshops
Learn applied skills from our crops and livestock teams across a range of subjects such as animal husbandry and seed saving.
Guest Artisan Workshops
The Arts & Ecology Lab collaborates with artisans whose work highlights the link between craft and farm sustainability. Join us for workshops showcasing skills such as leatherworking, coiled basketry, and papermaking. Workshops take place on select Wednesdays.
Family Field Trips
Bring your family on our child-oriented tour of Stone Barns Center’s growing spaces and pastures for an interactive, seasonal experience. Family Field Trips are offered twice a month. For Family Field Trips, every participant, including adults and children of any age, must reserve a ticket.

Children are welcome to visit. The majority of our programming is designed with adults in mind; we leave it to your discretion to decide if your child will engage with our activities. Young adults 12 and up must purchase a ticket to participate, and youths under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
