Sean McGurl is a Crops Farmer at Stone Barns Center. His passion for food began as a teenager working in restaurants on Cape Cod and continued to grow when he moved to New York for college. Sean immersed himself in the New York City food system, working in kitchens, at farmers markets, and within the urban agriculture industry. He recently completed graduate school where he studied sustainable food systems and wrote a thesis focused on community gardening in New York City. Sean is also seriously thinking about getting a cat if his landlord allows it.
On the side: Sean is always looking for good swimming spots, record stores, and pizza.
